| The India Business Leader Awards 2007 |
| |
|
For years, we've celebrated the highest achievers in the world's most dynamic business markets with one yardstick - The Asia Business Leader Awards (ABLA). CNBC pioneered the business leadership awards to recognize CEOs who create and sustain entrepreneurial initiatives, develop best practices and carve out powerful businesses in the global economy, with the Asia Business Leader Awards. As CNBC-TV18 celebrates its 8th year in India, it is proud to carry on this tradition, with the India Business Leader Awards (IBLA).
The India Business Leader Awards pioneered in 2005. Three outstanding business leaders were honoured at IBLA and went on to participate in ABLA. Last year, we felicitated Mr. Anand Mahindra, MD, Mahindra and Mahindra for winning the coveted Asia Business Leader of the Year 2006. His salutation at ABLA reinforces the paradigm shift in Indian business leadership over the years. Not only has Indian business leadership gone global, it has become a benchmark for business leadership principles, in the new world order. The CNBC-TV18 India Business Leader Awards 2007 returns for the third year to recognize remarkable business leaders in India.
This year, as we celebrate 60 years of India’s independence, its emergence as a global economic powerhouse and one of the most successful democracies, the IBLA will get India’s brightest leaders on a common platform to chart out a vision for the next 60 years.
The CNBC-TV18 India Business Leader Awards programme has given prominence and recognition to leaders who have made a difference. Winning an award is a defining moment of corporate excellence and an indication of greater achievements to come.
